A window washer's tale
The Act is very much a feature-film kind of experience, but it's not playing at any AMC, Loews, or Regal Cinemas in the area. It's a video game produced by the Lexington entertainment-production company Cecropia, which employs a bevy of former Disney illustrators. The Act tells the story of a window washer named Edgar -- complete with a climax, resolution, and denouement. The game is played with just one knob, but instead of moving Edgar up and down and left to right, players control his mood, which affects his behavior and how others within the game react to him. Check out a Free Play Night tonight at Boston Bowl, 820 Morrissey Blvd., from 9 to 11. The game can also be found at TC's Lounge, T's Pub, Our House West, and Lanes & Games in Cambridge.
