Ken Spirduso, Layout Artist / Background Painter
Ken’s animation career began in Dublin, Ireland with Sullivan-Bluth Studios. After two years of layout drawing, horseback riding, and Irish ale, Ken moved back to the States and began working with Walt Disney Feature Animation. For the next twelve years, he designed backgrounds for films such as The Lion King, Pocahontas, Tarzan, and Lilo and Stitch, and painted backgrounds for Brother Bear and My Peoples.
Creating historical and equestrian art, designing and painting backgrounds for the film Curious George, and working with Cecropia Inc. have kept him busy over the past two years. Ken and his wife, Caroline, have two children, Ian and Katherine.
