Scott Madin, Software Intern
Scott Madin is an undergraduate student at UMass Boston, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Political Science. He's been fascinated with computers -- and an avid player of video games -- since his first exposure to them, an original Compaq "portable" in the mid-1980s.
Scott grew up on Cape Cod, but his parents are Californian transplants who crossed the country to come to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and they insist someday he'll realize his true home is the West Coast. He's actually quite happy with Boston, thanks all the same.
Before picking back up at UMass, Scott attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota for a couple of years, but eventually the trimester system and the lack of fresh seafood necessitated a return to the coast, with three cats more than he had before.
