Cecropia presents: The Act, an interactive comedy

Daniel A. Gracey, Lead Key Assistant Animator

Like most small boys Dan was born in New York, moved to Florida, lived on a 26 foot boat with his family and sailed the high seas of the Gulf of Mexico learning the barbarian ways of the Vikings... you know, typical boy stuff. Finally, when the price dropped out of the marauding market, his family went inland and, as would be expected, Dan started drawing girls.

Dan liked drawing girls, who wouldn't? In fact, years later, he'd go so far as to marry one. She's a cutie named Cherie and they have four kids: Amanda, Brandon, Victoria and Nathan, (two of which are girls by the way... but I'm not going to tell you which ones.) Anyway, Dan could draw girls - but that's about it! So, off he sailed to Ringling School of Art and Design to learn some other stuff.

Dan excelled, and, even while still wearing that goofy Viking helmet, they voted him, "Most Likely To Leave Here And Draw All Sorts Of Things - Not Just Girls." Okay, so guess what was, like, the first thing Dan had to draw when he got to Walt Disney Feature Animation... yep, girls! Who'da figured that?

Well, needless to say, Dan's career took off and, for over 15 years, Dan brought the likes of Ariel, Jessica Rabbit, Pocahontas, Mulan, Belle, Jane, Jasmine, and even Lilo to gorgeous life. (He also did Young Simba, and Denahi from 'Brother Bear' but we're not going to talk about that because it ruins the whole "girl drawing' motif.)

Well, Dan has traded in his Viking helmet for a Darth Vader one (which seems better for striking fear into the hearts of his minions... er, artistic crew) and berthed his artistic career at the port of "Cecropia" where he headed up the department of... drum roll, please... GIRL DRAWING! No, really.

Well, he's consistent.
